The AIAA Foundation believes that one of the most significant means to inspire and advance the future of Aerospace is to fund grants to meet the unmet and unfunded educational need of students. Each school year, AIAA awards grants of up to $500 to worthy projects that significantly influence student learning.

Eligibility

You can learn more about this opportunity by visiting the funder's website. Applicants must be a K-12 classroom teacher with funds that will be paid to the school. A clear connection to science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) with an emphasis on Aerospace must be included in the grant proposal.Each school is limited to up to 2 grants per calendar year.  Funds must be spent on the items proposed in the original application.Funding will be considered for the following materials:Classroom STEM demonstration kitsClassroom STEM suppliesK-12 STEM softwareMath manipulative materialsParts and supplies for making flying objectsParts and supplies for robotics programs You must be a member of this organization to apply for this award - become a member. Applicants must be current AIAA Educator Associate members prior to receiving this grant.

Ineligibility

Funds WILL NOT be considered for the following materials:Books intended for school-wide useAncillary equipment such as: PCs, printers, computer scanners and other hardwareAudio Visual equipment including recording equipment and digital camerasRegistration/admissions fees for competitionsTravel associated with field trips or competitionsT-shirts or promotional materials for competitionsTeacher Workshop feesFees for Museums, Planetariums and simulation events
