AES Research and Training Workshop Grants

The American Epilepsy Society offers Research and Training Workshop Grants to support scientific conferences and workshops focused on critical topics in epilepsy research. These grants can cover expenses such as speaker travel, junior investigator participation, and publication costs. The evaluation of applications is conducted by the AES Research and Training Council, with awards dependent on available funding. Preference is given to workshops that promote trainee involvement and are open to all attendees.

Research and Training Workshop grants support scientific conferences and workshops that address timely and important topics in epilepsy research.
AES funding may be used for speakers’ transportation and lodging, participation by junior investigators and trainees, the publication of proceedings, and other direct costs.
Applications for workshop funding are reviewed by the AES Research and Training Council, and the number and amount of awards made each year are contingent upon available funds.
Applications for workshops held outside the United States are generally expected to use AES funds to support participants from the United States, to the extent appropriate and feasible.

Funding may not be used for indirect costs.
