A Lasting Legacy In 1993, Charles E. Ragus founded AdvoCare as a health and wellness company with the commitment to be an advocate who cared. Today, AdvoCare has taken that commitment to the next level by establishing the AdvoCare Foundation. The foundation focuses on providing the support to help all children be happy, healthy, and safe. Mission The AdvoCare Foundation focuses on to help all children and families in need lead happy, healthy, and safe lives. The AdvoCare Foundation is making a difference by identifying three main pillars to help children and family have healthy lifestyles: physical activity, nutrition education and access to healthy food. We believe this will help change not only the habits of the child but the entire family. The earlier you invest in a child, the greater the hope that child has to live a safe, healthy and happy life. Children surrounded by elevated risk factors such as crime, family violence, poor health, and highpoverty are the most at-risk. That’s why we focus on funding programs with long-term solutions to improving the physical health and wellness of children in need in the communities that need it most. Advocare Foundation Grants The Foundation has one annual grant process. We will sometimes consider operational support if the entire mission of the organization aligns with our mission and priorities. Capital requests may be considered. Successful proposals are those with an emphasis on year-round programming and effort to promote positive change in the health and wellness habits of children and their families. The majority of grants from the AdvoCare Foundation are one year in duration, at an average of $25,000 per grant. The Foundation believes in supporting communities where AdvoCare distributors are located and engaged. We value long-term partnerships with grantees, and give funding preference to previous grantees.
