Adult College Completion Fund Grant

The Adult College Completion Fund, established in 2014 by the Maine Community Foundation, offers tuition assistance to Maine adults seeking degrees or certificates from accredited post-secondary institutions. The fund supports both short-term and long-term educational programs, with rolling application deadlines for short-term awards and specific deadlines of June 15 and November 15 for long-term scholarships. This initiative aims to enhance educational opportunities and promote workforce development in Maine.

Applications to the Adult College Completion Fund is handled through the Adult Learner Scholarship.For Short-Term Credential Award (program lasting less than a full semester; the applicant receiving a certificate or workplace credential, not a degree): Application Deadline is RollingFor Long-Term Scholarship Award (program lasting more than a full semester; at the end of the program, the applicant receives a one- or two-year certificate or a two- or four-year degree): Application Deadlines are June 15 and November 15 as indicated above.
Maine Community Foundation
The Maine Community Foundation established its first scholarship fund in 1984. Now, through the generosity of individuals, community organizations, and businesses that believe in the importance of education, the community foundation awards more than $3 million each year from nearly 700 scholarship funds.
MaineCF scholarships provide financial assistance for Maine residents attending accredited colleges, universities, technical and career schools. The funds also support students attending private high schools, camps, and experiential learning programs.
