Administrative Fellowship Program

Funder: Beacon Health System

Geographic Scope: Beacon Health System locations (Michiana region - South Bend, Elkhart, and southern Michigan)

Purpose: To develop future healthcare administration leaders through rotation-based experiential learning, mentorship, and project-based work

Program Overview:

  • Designed to challenge fellows through multiple 6-month rotations

  • Program duration: Up to two years

  • Four rotations expose fellows to different business units

  • Mentorship and Development:

  • Each fellow assigned a mentor for advice and support

  • Development focused on preparing fellows for future executive leadership roles
  • Preceptorship:

  • For Beacon Medical Group, Elkhart General Hospital, or Memorial Hospital of South Bend: Vice President of Operations is preceptor

  • For corporate departments: Preceptor varies (e.g., Controller in Finance, Chief Strategy Officer in Strategy)
