Adams County Opioid Settlement Fund Approved Abatement Programs Priority shall be given to the following core abatement strategies: Naloxone or other FDA-approved drug to reverse opioid overdosesMedication assisted treatment ("MAT") distribution and other opioid-related treatmentPregnant & postpartum womenExpanding treatment of neonatal abstinence syndrome ("NAS")Expansion of warm hand-off programs and recovery servicesTreatment for incarcerated populationPrevention programsExpanding syringe service programsEvidence-based data collection and research analyzing the effectiveness of the abatement strategies within the state

If adjacent jurisdictions are included in the project, they should be identified during the application process and justification for funding projects that include other jurisdictions must clearly show a focus on Adams County.Applicants must verify that they can comply with legal, fiscal and programmatic requirements for this funding notice. They will be required to certify in the application that they can meet these requirements.Applicants must be in good standing with the Illinois Secretary of State.Project sustainability will be a focus of all funded projects. Sustainability is addressed in the Scope of Work section of the application and must clearly show that benefits from the proposed project will extend past the project period and initial funding allocation.
