ACS-Hach Professional Development Grant

The ACS-Hach Professional Development Grant provides up to $2,500 to support high school chemistry teachers in the U.S. as they pursue professional development opportunities. This grant aims to enhance teaching and learning in chemistry by funding activities such as conferences, workshops, and educational resources. It is designed to improve educators' skills and boost student achievement, thereby fostering a better learning environment in chemistry classrooms.

ACS-Hach Professional Development Grant supports high school chemistry teachers as they identify and pursue opportunities that advance their professional development and enhance the teaching and learning of chemistry in their classrooms.
Teachers can request up to $2,500 to fund the professional development opportunities that will improve their professional skills and student achievement.

Eligibility

Applicants must be a high school chemistry educator teaching in a U.S. or U.S. territory school.Grants may be used for:Conference or workshop registration feesTravel expensesTuition and educational expenses for new/upcoming coursesBooks and online instructional resourcesSubstitute teacher pay

Ineligibility

Grants may not be used to:Pay indirect costs, administration fees, salaries, or stipendsReimburse for courses already completedSupport travel costs or conference fees for more than one person. Each person must apply separatelySupport travel and related-expenses to provide professional development to other educatorsPurchase lab equipment or classroom materials that are not related to the professional development experience. If items are purchased, total cost cannot exceed 20% of the overall budget.
