Acorn Fund Grant

Award Amount: $1,500 to $5,000 per grant

Overview

First Nations will award grants to Native individuals in support of activities that strengthen cultural continuity, artistic practice, and community-rooted knowledge systems. The fund is designed to honor Native expertise and self-determined pathways of learning.

    Eligible Applicants

  • Native individuals (as opposed to organizations)
  • Must be a member of a federal- or state-recognized Native American or Alaska Native tribe or community, OR demonstrate significant and long-standing engagement with and commitment to an Indigenous community in the U.S.
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be U.S. citizens

Purpose

The fund honors Native expertise and supports self-determined pathways of learning for individuals advancing their knowledge, skills, and cultural practice.
