Visiting Scholars Program The ABMS Visiting Scholars Program™ is an annual grant program that supports early-career physicians and researchers in their research and facilitates their evolution as health care leaders within and across the ABMS community. Grants of $15,000 are awarded to support research and travel expenses associated with program participation and research deliverables. The grant may be applied to an existing research project with a new scope or an original research project. The ABMS Visiting Scholars Program supports projects that advance the ABMS mission and align with the research priorities of the ABMS Research and Education Foundation (ABMS REF) and ABMS Member Boards. Scholars advance their research projects and learn from: Certification, research, and data science subject matter expertsNational thought leaders in medical education, certification, and health policyColleagues within and across the certification communityPeers, research mentors, and scholar alumni Program Impact The ABMS Visiting Scholars Program provides lasting professional and personal benefits.
