Abbott Cardiovascular Product Donations Grant

Abbott provides cardiovascular product donations to underserved patients who lack insurance and cannot afford treatment. Applications must be submitted within specific timelines: 5 to 30 days in the U.S. and at least 60 days for international requests. The grant committee evaluates requests based on the procedure's location and ensures that only necessary equipment is donated. Physicians and facilities must also contribute their services to qualify for this support, enhancing community health and well-being.

NOTE:
The timeline for submitting an application depends on whether the device will be implanted within or outside the United States:Within the United States, an application must be submitted at least 5 days and no more than 30 days in advance of the procedure.Outside of the United States, a minimum of 60 calendar days is required to allow sufficient time for appropriate approvals and logistics.
Background
Healthcare organizations can apply for patient product donations when treatment plans include Abbott products if the patient does not have insurance, and cannot afford treatment. Our grant committee will determine what product(s) to donate based on the country where the device will be implanted.

Eligibility

The patient does not have health insurance nor do they qualify for government assistance programs. The product donation will consist of only patient-necessary equipment. Any unused product will be returned to Abbott. Physician and facility must be donating their services.
