AAUW Manatee County Branch Scholarship Fund Grant

The AAUW Manatee County Branch Scholarship Fund, managed by the Manatee Community Foundation, provides scholarships to deserving female students in Manatee County. This fund aims to support women pursuing education at accredited institutions, including technical and collegiate programs. Eligible applicants must demonstrate leadership potential, financial need, and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0. For over 25 years, the foundation has been committed to enhancing community welfare through philanthropy and education.

For over 25 years, Manatee Community Foundation has partnered with caring donors to grow philanthropy, informed giving, and community impact in Manatee County. Collaborating with nonprofits and diverse community members, we support gains that improve the quality of life in special places and for people and animals. MCF is the trusted steward of charitable legacies and the dependable guide for current giving through donor advised funds.
This fund shall provide one or more scholarships annually for deserving female student(s) in Manatee County to further their education at any accredited educational institution, including technical, vocational or collegiate (2 or 4 year) institutions.

Eligibility

Applicants must:Be a woman residing in Manatee County or be a graduate of a Manatee County high school residing elsewhere to pursue educational attainmentBe a traditional student (under the age of 24) or nontraditional (age 24 or older)Be accepted into an accredited educational institutionDemonstrate leadership potential through community service, extracurricular activities and/or workDemonstrate financial needGrade point average of 3.0
