Purpose
The AAPI Emergency Relief Fund, seeded by TAAF in partnership with GoFundMe, provides direct support to AAPI survivors or the families of AAPI victims impacted by a hate-motivated or violent crime. Support may include funding to cover:- The incident must be considered hate-motivated or a violent crime
- A GoFundMe fundraiser must already exist to provide direct support for the victim(s) or their families
- Individuals and small businesses are eligible
- If no fundraiser exists, applicant should consider starting one using GoFundMe's Best Practice Guide
Eligibility Criteria
- Please allow 10-14 days for funding decisions
- Submission of a request does not guarantee acceptance
- All funding requests must be vetted and require management's approval

Application Process
1. Complete the online application form with the following required information:
- Recipient Name
- Submitted by (name)
- Email Address
- Incident Background Information (include relevant links to articles or other reporting)
- Indication/evidence that the incident is hate-motivated
- Link to the GoFundMe fundraiser
- Confirmation that fundraiser is active (Yes/No)
- Purpose of the Fundraiser
- Rationale for contribution
2. Submit form through the online portal
3. Wait for review - Allow 10-14 days for funding decisions
4. Receive notification of approval or denial
- Active GoFundMe fundraiser link
- Evidence or indication that incident is hate-motivated or violent crime
- Background information on the incident
- Links to articles or news reporting about the incident (if available)
