AAOMR: Charles R. Morris Student Research Award Grant

The AAOMR Charles R. Morris Student Research Award aims to inspire early-career researchers in oral and maxillofacial radiology. This prestigious award, offered by the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, provides a $1000 monetary prize, a certificate, and free registration to their Annual Meeting. Eligible candidates include full-time pre-doctoral or undergraduate students from accredited programs, who are encouraged to present their research. This initiative fosters academic careers in a vital field.

NOTE: The full application must be accompanied by a nomination from the institution in which the research was carried out.
Purpose
The American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology Charles R. Morris Student Research Award is designed to encourage new investigators, not yet professionally established, to participate in research to further knowledge in oral and maxillofacial radiology, to develop competency in research and to gain insight into scientific investigation. The objective is to stimulate the scientific development of promising students and to encourage them to embark on a career in academic oral and maxillofacial radiology.
The recipient of the award will receive:

• Monetary prize of $1000
• Certificate

Free registration at the upcoming Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, including the Continuing Education Session and Annual Banquet.
Award recipient is expected to present the research paper at the AAOMR Annual Session

Eligibility

The Moriis Student Research Award will be open to candidates from accredited dental and dental hygiene programs who, at the time the research was carried out, were full-time pre-doctoral or undergraduate students.  Applicants should be members of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology or should have applied for membership at the time of application.
