2026 NYS Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program

The NYS CDBG Program provides federal funding to eligible cities, towns, villages, and counties to develop viable communities by providing decent, affordable housing, suitable living environments, and expanding economic opportunities for low- and moderate-income persons. Eligible activities include drinking water and sanitary sewer projects, home repair grants, senior and community center improvements, and small business start-up and expansion grants. Program areas include: Community Planning, Public Infrastructure, Public Facilities, Microenterprise, Housing, and Imminent Threat activities. At least 70% of CDBG funds must benefit low- and moderate-income persons.
