2026 ACGT Investigator Award in Cell and Gene Therapy for Solid Tumor Cancers

    • Must be tenure-track or tenured faculty
    • Investigator must be conducting original research as an independent faculty member
    • No citizenship restrictions (but research location requirement applies)
    • Research must be conducted at academic medical centers or research centers in the United States or Canada

    Review Process

    • Members of the distinguished Scientific Advisory Council oversee review and recommendation
    • All Letters of Intent (LOIs) are assessed by at least two Council members or their approved reviewers
    • Applicants whose LOIs are responsive to the RFA and mission are invited to submit full applications
    • Full applications reviewed carefully by the Council for final approval recommendations

    Application Process

    Step 1: Letter of Intent (LOI)

  • Submit LOI through designated application portal

  • LOIs are assessed by Scientific Advisory Council members

  • Responsive LOIs will be invited to submit full applications
  • Step 2: Full Application
    Applicants whose LOIs are deemed responsive must submit:

  • Biosketch

  • Budget (with maximum 10% indirect costs)

  • Research plan (10-page maximum)

  • Literature citations (4 additional pages allowed, separate from 10-page limit)

  • Letter of reference
  • Step 3: Scientific Review

  • Full applications reviewed by Scientific Advisory Council

  • Council makes recommendations for final approval
  • Step 4: Grant Agreement

  • Grant funds disbursed following execution of a grant agreement between grantee institution and ACGT
  • Important Notes

    • Institutional Signature Required: Applications must be signed by appropriate institution representative (e.g., Signing Official for Assurances in Grants and Contracts Department and/or Legal Department)
    • One Submission Only: Applications may be submitted only once; revisions after deadline not permitted
    • Pre-Deadline Changes: If changes necessary before deadline, contact Altum Proposal Central customer service at 1-800-875-2562
    • No Post-Deadline Changes: No changes can be made after application deadline
    • Literature citations are NOT part of the 10-page research plan limit (additional 4 pages allowed)
