Overview

About Us The 1995 Oklahoma City bombing was the catalyst that led to the founding of The 1687 Foundation. It was the desire of Woody and Patti Wood to reach people suffering in the aftermath of that deadly event. Their response to the devastation led them to donate several boxes of Christian books to people in the area. Shortly after that first donation, a full-fledged Book Ministry began as they saw the need for the distribution of Christian books for many other purposes across the nation. At that point, The 1687 Foundation was established. The 1687 Foundation Book Ministry We are called to support other 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations. These include organizations that serve: first responders, the military, police officers, firefighters, and those that provide disaster relief efforts, prison ministries, healthcare facilities, special needs, foster care programs, at-risk populations, homeless shelters, food banks and soup kitchens.
