Overview 10,000 Degrees provides scholarships to individuals with significant financial need who exhibit a strong desire to go to college, and who have the perseverance necessary to graduate from college and accomplish their educational goals. Child Care Assistance Scholarship 10,000 Degrees proudly offers Child Care Assistance Scholarships for parents based in Marin County. The scholarship pays for a portion of a child’s day care while the parent is enrolled in college. The Child Care Assistance Scholarship is available for the months of September through May. The scholarship is renewable annually, provided the parent maintains satisfactory progress. Note: If you are not eligible to file the FAFSA, you must fill out the California Dream Act Application if eligible.
