Weir Farm Art Alliance
The Weir Farm Art Alliance (WFAA) perserves, sustains, and promotes the legacy of American impressionist painter julian alden weir. The WFAA honors weir and the continued generations of artists inspired by weir and his farm, mostly notably mahonri young and sperry and doris andrews. In march, 2024 the WFAA mission became refocussed. While we continue joint conservation and wildlife educational efforts with the park, a central effort of WFAA has become the maintenance of the trails and needs of the weir preserve-a 110 acre land trust transferred from the nature conservancy to the WFAA in 2005. Bordering on the park's west and south sides, our trails get extensive use from the park's frequent visitors. We also contine our efforts to acquire paintings for subsequent display to the public at the park and other public institutions.
