To secure just compensation for our services and equitable settlements for our greiveances; to promote the establishment of just and reasonable working conditions; to place the members of our local on a higher plane of skill and efficiency; to promote harmonious relations between fire fighters and our employer; to encourage the formation of adequate sick and death benefits; to encourage the establishment of schools and instruction for the imparting of knowledge of modern and improved methods of fire protection, fire prevention, and fire safety; and to cultivate friendship among members.
