Paul Emmett Wirth (February 13, 1912 – January 27, 2006): The 11th child of John and Kate Wirth. Despite losing three fingers on his right hand in a gasoline engine accident in 1923, Paul was an accomplished individual who traveled extensively to South America, New Zealand, Australia, Africa, and Europe.
John Rudolph Wirth (July 23, 1914 – May 10, 2001): The 12th child of John and Kate Wirth. Known for teaching nieces and nephews reading skills and creating puzzles and brain teaser games as gifts.
Anton Fredolin Wirth (April 23, 1919 – January 5, 2007): The 13th child of John and Kate Wirth. Worked in oil fields in Kansas as a welder before returning to Nebraska to farm with his brothers. Married Doris Christiansen on January 10, 1959.
Doris Christiansen Wirth (December 30, 1915 – April 10, 2001): Born in Nebraska City, Nebraska. Married Anton Fredolin Wirth.
The three brothers—Paul, John, and Anton—acquired Spring Valley Farm on December 31, 1965, and operated it along with heavy machinery operations such as bulldozers. They expanded their farming operations by purchasing sections of ground along the river bottom in Cass and Otoe counties.
