Giving Children Hope

Mission Statement: Giving Children Hope is a nonprofit organization that supports children and families by breaking their cycle of need, and guiding them toward success and self-sustainability. The organization achieves this goal by fostering a sense of community, where dedicated volunteers provide crucial support.

Primary Focus Areas:

• We've Got Your Back (WGYB) Program: Partners with local Orange and Los Angeles County schools to identify children in crisis. The program provides weekend nutrition assistance through backpacks of food designed to sustain a family of four for at least three days. Parents who participate are encouraged to engage in classes or volunteer at school sites, with programming focused on financial management and skill-building.

• Distribution Center Program: Operates as a local redistribution center that receives thousands of pallets of essential goods annually from major brands including Costco, Amazon, and Target. The program builds relationships with nonprofit partner organizations throughout Southern California, providing them with supplies needed to run their programs.

• Partner Support Program: Works through a network of partner organizations to provide local and international communities with basic necessities. Current partners include nonprofit agencies, churches, missionaries, pregnancy clinics, homeless shelters, drug rehabilitation programs, and youth programs.

The organization's work emphasizes providing food, household goods, and leadership development to help families achieve self-sufficiency.
