THE FEDERATION OF AMERICAN SCIENTISTS (FAS) IS A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION INCORPORATED AND LOCATED IN THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA. FAS' GENERAL PURPOSE IS TO PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL, SCIENTIFIC AND LEGISLATIVE INFORMATION TO THE PUBLIC AND GOVERNMENT.FAS' MAJOR SOURCES OF SUPPORT ARE GRANTS AND CONTRIBUTIONS. FAS' MAJOR PROGRAMS ARE:GLOBAL RISK; EDUCATION AND WORKFORCE; SCIENCE POLICY ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND DAY ONE PROJECT; EMERGING TECHNOLOGY; ENERGY; TALENT HUB; GOVERNMENT CAPACITY; SPECIAL PROJECTS.FAS EMBEDS SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, INNOVATION, AND EXPERIENCE INTO GOVERNMENT AND PUBLIC DISCOURSE IN ORDER TO BUILD A HEALTHY, SAFE, PROSPEROUS, AND EQUITABLE SOCIETY.
