Earth Rising Foundation

Earth Rising Foundation describes itself as pursuing "a people-powered approach to the climate crisis." The foundation seeks to amplify existing and emerging voices demanding a future based on cooperation and care for each other and the planet, providing material support for climate activism and initiatives that raise awareness about the climate crisis.

The foundation recognizes that climate change implicates every aspect of social life and can only be approached systemically. Its primary funding areas include:

• Indigenous Voices: Supporting Indigenous communities' ongoing fight for a livable future where all relations are respected, recognizing that Indigenous voices have been marginalized by systems that have led to climate catastrophe and extinction.

• Regenerative Agriculture: Supporting farming practices that help rather than hurt ordinary people and the environment, with the goal of drawing carbon out of the atmosphere.

• Climate Intersections: Highlighting connections between climate change and struggles for racial justice, gender equality, freedom of movement, and self-determination.

• Sustainable Visions: Supporting projects that help envision a path to a better future based on political and economic systems that work for everyone, including non-humans and future generations.

• Youth Activism: Supporting youth climate activists, recognizing that young people have both the understanding and moral authority to lead on climate issues.
