This funding also has had and will continue to have a direct impact on the educational experience of NCPA girls in the following ways: 1) for the Extended Day Program, NCPA was able to hire a physical education teacher; 2) a plan is in place to hire a part-time music teacher in the fall for the Extended Day Program; 3) the 8th Grade class was able to take an educational trip into New York City for a tour of the United Nations. The grant supports general operating expenses and has enabled NCPA to have flexibility to respond quickly and seamlessly to the changing safety landscape in the age of COVID. This included many unforeseen expenses to assure maximum safety for students and staff. In addition, the school's biggest fundraiser had to be cancelled, resulting in a loss of approximately $100,00, which is normally used for operating expenses. The support also enabled NCPA to provide necessary technology for staffers to deliver compelling lessons virtually when necessary. Without grants and donations, it would not be possible to have the impact that Nora Cronin has had since its founding in 2006. This and previous grants from the Foundation have allowed NCPA to continue fulfilling its mission to help impoverished young girls reach their full potential and develop into productive, self-supporting citizens and community leade | $10,000 |
