2022Alaska Airlines FoundationCommon Grace uses mentorship to provide underserved children support, guidance, and encouragement to build the social skills and coping mechanisms required to become a successful adult. Malama Mentors partners exceptional juniors and seniors in local high schools with students in need at nearby elementary schools. Mohala Mentors is a similar mentoring program that serves middle school mentees. Mentors are recommended by their counselors or teachers and are typically high school juniors and seniors who demonstrate compassion for others, commitment, and the desire to work with children. A handful of mentors are college students. CG trains Mentors in adolescent developmental stages and in techniques to improve their social emotional skills and those of their mentees.$10,000
