Workforce Connections Program

Geographic Scope: Fillmore County Hospital service area, Nebraska

Focus Areas: Educational support and workforce development in healthcare fields

Eligibility:

  • Internal candidates (current FCH employees) and external candidates (community members interested in working for FCH)

  • Must be accepted into or interested in enrolling in healthcare-related educational programs

  • Subject to AccuPlacer Assessment
  • Program Requirements:

  • Participants must sign a contract prior to coursework that includes work commitment terms and payback provisions if program is not completed or work commitment is not fulfilled

  • Must maintain a grade of C+ or higher in each course

  • Must have satisfactory attendance in school

  • Must remain discipline-free during program participation

  • Must attend school full-time while working for the organization
  • Selection Criteria:
    1. Answers to candidate application questions
    2. Answers to interview questions
    3. AccuPlacer Assessment results

    For Internal Candidates:
    1. Complete the Workforce Connections Application (Internal) form at myfch.org
    2. Provide required personal information (name, email, phone)
    3. Select program(s) of interest and desired program start date
    4. Indicate availability (start date)
    5. Report highest level of education completed
    6. Answer candidate questions:
    - Why are you interested in the Workforce Connections Program?
    - Why are you interested in the specific educational program selected?
    - Describe prior relevant work experience
    - How have you shown commitment to the organization?
    - How will you continue showing commitment while attending school full-time and working?
    - Describe your strengths and areas for improvement
    - How will you meet curriculum deadlines, especially for online components?
    7. Acknowledge candidate commitment expectations and sign form
    8. Submit application

    For External Candidates:
    1. Complete the Workforce Connections Application (External) form at myfch.org
    2. Provide required personal information (name, email, phone)
    3. Select program(s) of interest and desired program start date
