Wimberley Lions Club Scholarship Award Program

Overview: Merit-based scholarship program supporting graduating high school seniors from the Wimberley community as they pursue post-secondary education or technical training. Scholarships help offset costs of academic or technical programs.

Award Amount: $2,000 one-time scholarship per recipient

Merit-Based: Financial need is NOT a factor in the selection process. Applicants are evaluated solely on specified criteria.

    Application Process

    Eligibility Requirements:
    Applicants must meet ONE of the following criteria:

  • Graduate from Wimberley High School

  • Graduate from an accredited charter school located in the Wimberley area

  • Be home-schooled and reside full-time in the Wimberley area

  • Proof of residency may be required for certain applicants

    • Selection Criteria:
    Applicants will be selected for interviews based on:
    1. Community involvement and service (including participation in Wimberley Lions Club Market Days)
    2. Class rank and grade point average (GPA)
    3. SAT and/or ACT scores
    4. Additional criteria may be considered during the interview process

    Timeline:

  • Application period opens: February 6, 2026

  • Application deadline: Friday, March 20, 2026 at 4:00 PM

  • Completed application packets must be submitted by deadline to be considered

    • Submission:
    1. Complete application packet
