Florida Kiwanis Foundation The Florida Kiwanis Foundation was created in 1971 by Former Kiwanis Governor Robert Thal. Since 1971, Florida Kiwanis Foundation has been supporting Kiwanis Clubs, Divisions, and students make a real impact in the state of Florida. Our Purpose: To leave a legacy for the children. We are dedicated to supporting Florida Youth to ensure a brighter future and leave a legacy for the children. Mission: Help children in need. To enable caring individuals, clubs, and divisions to combine their resources of time, talent, and funds to create a greater impact on the needs of children and families in Florida. Wilton Manors Friends & Family Scholarship This Friends and Family Scholarship is the second offering from the Kiwanis Club of Wilton Manors. In partnership with the Florida Kiwanis Foundation, they believe that there is a need for those who wish to further their education, with a focus toward students that have a sincere desire to succeed, and may have difficulty qualifying for other scholarships or grants.

Eligibility

Application is open to the graduating high school seniors from any Florida school (Including Home Schools and Virtual School of Florida) who meets all requirements and has been accepted to/and attends a Florida college or University.Must have a relationship with any current member of the Florida District of Kiwanis. Can be either a friend or family member.Applicant must be a graduating high school senior from any school within Florida who meets all requirements as noted above.Have a GPA of at least 2.0 on a 4.0 scale, unweighted.Have been accepted to a Florida college or universityHave performed at least 50 service hours in their community within the most recent past year
