Wilson-Hooper Veterinary Medicine Assistance Program The Wilson-Hooper Veterinary Medicine Assistance Program, created in the memory of Jane Wilson Hooper and Colonel Philip L. Hooper, provides financial assistance to eligible American Indian and Alaska Native students pursuing a degree in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Veterinary Technology (Associate of Applied Science) full-time at an accredited institution. The maximum amount of an academic year award is $5,000. This opportunity is a renewable, merit-based award.

Eligibility

Applicants must hold a current GPA of 3.0 or higher.Degree-seeking students must be attending an accredited institution full-time in the U.S.All applicants must be able to demonstrate Tribal affiliation through a Tribal Eligibility Certificate (TEC).We fund American Indians and Alaska Natives who are enrolled in U.S. federally recognized Tribes or state-recognized Tribes.Individuals who can verify descendants of American Indian or Alaska Native lineage from Tribes are also eligible for funding through Native Forward Scholars Fund.
