Award Amount: $20,000 (one award annually)

Geographic Scope: Dallas Independent School District (DISD), Texas

Focus Areas: Continuing post-baccalaureate education for DISD educators and administrators, including certifications to further career in education

Program History: Established in 2016 to honor William H. Cotton's 46 years of dedication to DISD and CUTX. Cotton served as an associate superintendent for DISD and board officer for CUTX. The scholarship has awarded a total of $140,000 to DISD educators since inception.

Eligibility Requirements

• Must be a DISD educator or administrator
• Seeking to pursue continuing post-baccalaureate education
• Education/certification must further career in the field of education
• Must benefit the DISD community and its students
• Must be a CUTX member (implied)
