Communities Foundation of Texas (CFT) is proud to partner with our generous donors on the following scholarship opportunities. William A. Turner, Jr. Endowed Scholarship William A. Turner, Jr. Endowed Scholarship Fund provides $5,000 or $6,000 scholarships to enrolled Juniors and Seniors at the University of North Texas in Denton, TX who are pursuing a degree within the College of Education. One or more annual scholarships will be awarded in the amount of up to $5,000 or $6,000 per student. If the student is enrolled in 9 credit hours or more in a semester, the award amount may be up to $5,000 for the academic year. If the student is enrolled in 12 credit hours or more in a semester, the award amount may be up to $6,000 for the school year. Scholarships may be used for tuition and education-related fees.

Eligibility

Eligible students must be in good standing as a student, and enrolled in a minimum of 9 credit hours at the University of North Texas as a Junior or Senior in the College of Education. If the student is enrolled in 12 credit hours or more in a semester, the award amount may be increased, as referenced above.Eligible students must have a minimum cumulative college GPA of 2.50 on a 4.0 scale.Eligible students must agree to pursue (attempt to gain) employment in the Texas Public School system.Eligible students must be United states citizens or documented legal residents of the United States.
