We primarily work in three areas: enhancing educational opportunities, promoting small business growth, and ensuring people have the basic needs to grow and thrive. Our Focus Education: We concentrate on funding scholarship programs and programs that promote educational advancement. We strive to enhance academic skills, and support continued education for disadvantaged groups.Small Business Support: Success of small businesses is an essential component of our community. We seek to reduce barriers of opportunity through working with nonprofits that create and support entrepreneurship.Community Advocacy: We believe safe and affordable housing is a necessity for all. In addition, we fund programs that assist with child welfare, basic needs and other human services. Lastly, we support organizations that promote vibrant and diverse neighborhoods. Funding WFF will accept requests from $500 - $100,000 Widen Family Foundation will take into consideration your requested grant amount, but may provide only part of or none of the amount requested depending upon the additional criteria listed in the application.

Ineligibility

Lower priority will be given to grant requests towards funding Capitol Campaigns and Staff Salaries.You may not use funds provided under this agreement for any purpose other than the project described. You may not use grant funding to reimburse any expenses you incurred prior to the start date.You will not offer or provide money, gifts, or any other things of value directly or indirectly to anyone in order to improperly influence any act or decision relating to the Foundation or the project, including by assisting any party to secure an improper advantage.You may not use grant funds to influence the outcome of any election for public office or to carry on any voter registration drive.
