    Overview:
    The White-Reinhardt Fund for Education recognizes outstanding agricultural literacy efforts of educators and communities across the country. The fund honors two former American Farm Bureau Women's Leadership Committee chairwomen, Berta White and Linda Reinhardt, who were trailblazers in early national efforts to expand agricultural education outreach and improve agricultural literacy.

    Recent examples of funded projects include:

  • University of Delaware Cooperative Extension's 4-H Embryology Program (teaching embryology in kindergarten through 2nd grade classrooms)

  • Delaware Center for Horticulture urban farming and ag literacy programs in Wilmington

  • Raised bed gardens for urban farming education
  • Application Timeline: Applications accepted in October and April
