WCSJ International Program Fund - Travel Fellowships

Focus: Support for international science journalists to attend conferences and participate in training programs, funded from cost savings of 10th World Conference of Science Journalists (WCSJ2017).

Geographic Scope: International, with particular focus on Latin America, Caribbean, and developing countries

Eligibility:

Science journalists from countries outside United States

Early-career and established journalists

Interest in science journalism and professional development

Total Awarded 2018: 12 regional travel fellowships to Latin American journalists

Purpose: Enable international participation in ScienceWriters conferences and related training

New Horizons in Science briefings

Professional development workshops by NASW

Bilingual preconference sessions (story-pitching for freelancers)
