WCC Scholarships

The Westchester Community College Foundation awards more than $4 million in student support annually through scholarships that cover tuition, fees, and other expenses associated with college attendance.

Geographic Scope: Westchester Community College, Valhalla, NY

Eligibility:

• Full-time and part-time students
• Incoming students, continuing students, and graduating students

Award Coverage:

• Tuition
• Fees
• Other education-related expenses (textbooks, transportation, living expenses)

Background: Westchester Community College's tuition is among SUNY's lowest at $5,230 per academic year; however, the total cost of education exceeds $24,948 annually, which can be a barrier for families with limited resources. Scholarship gifts from donors enable the Foundation to provide this critical support.

Establishing a Named Scholarship Fund:

• Annual funding: Begins at $5,000
• Permanent endowment: Begins at $50,000
• Scholarships are awarded to students meeting flexible criteria that reflect the donor's interests
