The Wayne Duke Postgraduate Award honors outstanding student-athletes from Big Ten Conference member institutions for their achievements in academics, athletics, extracurricular activities, and leadership.

Geographic Scope
Big Ten Conference member institutions (18 institutions as of 2025-26 academic year)

Eligibility

Student-athletes from Big Ten Conference member institutions

One female and one male recipient selected annually

Selection based on:

- Academic achievement
- Athletic performance
- Extracurricular activities
- Leadership demonstrated

Award Amount
$10,000 scholarship per recipient (two recipients annually)

Award Named After
Wayne Duke - Late Big Ten Conference Commissioner (1971-1989) who focused on improving academic standards and graduation rates for student-athletes
