Watershed Education Scholarship Grant

The Watershed Education Scholarship, offered by the North Bay Watershed Association (NBWA), provides financial support for students of all ages who reside or work within the NBWA boundary. This scholarship aims to fund educational endeavors in environmental sciences, engineering, or water industry certifications. With awards up to $1,000 announced annually, the NBWA encourages projects that promote stewardship and benefit the entire North Bay watershed community.

About the Program
The North Bay Watershed Association (NBWA) has worked diligently for more than twenty years on water resource issues that go beyond traditional boundaries to promote stewardship of the North Bay watersheds. The NBWA is proud to sponsor and support local organizations and individuals in our regional community through providing selective local small grants and scholarships.
The NBWA is always interested to learn about projects and initiatives that inform, engage, and enhance our north bay watershed communities. Importantly, our projects are encouraged to be developed, piloted, or implemented by a local proponent with a design plan to distribute derivative benefits to the entire region.
The North Bay Watershed Association (NBWA) offers a scholarship to help fund educational opportunities for students of all ages who reside or work within the NBWA boundary, which encompasses all lands draining to the San Pablo Bay, who intend to enter, or are currently enrolled in high school, vocational school, trade school, technical school, accredited university, or two-year or four-year college to pursue studies in the environmental sciences, engineering, or pursuing water industry certifications or training.

Eligibility

Open to any ageReside or work within the NBWA boundary, which encompasses all lands draining to the San Pablo Bay
A student is an individual of any age who is actively engaged in learning or educational pursuits. This can include individuals enrolled in formal education programs such as primary, secondary, or higher education institutions, as well as those participating in informal education, professional development, or lifelong learning activities. The student demonstrates a commitment to personal growth, knowledge acquisition, and skill development through various academic, vocational, or self-directed learning experiences.
