Washington State Department of Commerce The Washington State Department of Commerce’s mission is to strengthen communities in Washington. We are the lead state agency charged with enhancing and promoting sustainable community and economic vitality in Washington. We administer a diverse portfolio of more than 100 programs and several state boards and commissions, all focused on helping communities achieve positive growth. Washington Grid Resilience Program Commerce is accepting applications starting Sept. 5, 2025, to support the construction of grid resilience and reliability projects for electric utilities in Washington state. $17.5 million will be available to qualifying and competitive projects. Electric utilities of all sizes are eligible for this funding. Small utilities will have 40% of the funding reserved for their projects, while 60% will be open to utilities of any size. Projects should accomplish one or more of the following: Reduce the frequency of electricity service disruptions, Reduce the duration of outages, and Reduce the number of customers impacted Funding There is no minimum award amount, and the maximum amount for a single award is $3,000,000. Applications requesting more than the maximum allowable request will be considered non-responsive and will not be evaluated.Eligibility
