Focus Areas Washington Gas supports local community organizations across the DMV with a focus on four priority areas: Access & Opportunity Access to essential resources is the foundation of a thriving community. We invest in programs that support basic needs, including safe housing, nutritious food, and reliable utilities, so individuals and families can pursue education, employment, and long-term stability Safe Communities Safety is a core value in everything we do, from delivering reliable energy to investing in programs that protect and strengthen the neighborhoods we serve.We support first responders, emergency assistance, safety education, disaster preparedness programs, and community safety initiatives that enhance the resilience of the communities we serve. Environmental Stewardship Environmental stewardship is essential to our communities and our business.We invest in initiatives that promote energy efficiency and conservation, protect local green spaces and biodiversity, and expand environmental education to inspire community awareness and action.
