Warren County Foundation- Discretionary Grants

The Warren County Foundation Discretionary Grants aim to enhance the quality of life for residents by funding impactful projects. Eligible organizations must demonstrate tangible solutions to community issues, focus on prevention, and promote volunteer participation. Grants are not awarded for ongoing operational expenses, scholarships, or religious purposes. The foundation encourages collaboration and seeks projects that can leverage additional funding, ultimately benefiting a substantial number of citizens in Warren County.

Subject to available funds, the Warren County Foundation is more likely to award Discretionary Grants to organizations that demonstrate that their proposed projects:

• Make a clear difference in the quality of life of a substantial number of Warren County citizens.
• Demonstrate tangible solutions to community problems.
• Help non-profit organizations manage themselves and their finances more effectively.
• Focus on prevention.
• Encourage cooperation and eliminate duplication of service.
• Stimulate others to participate in problem-solving.
• Promote volunteer involvement.
• Have a positive economic impact in Warren County.
• Promote leverage for generating additional funds.

Eligibility

Requests that are funded typically impact a large number of Warren County residents, meet a specific need in the community, focus on prevention and provide a tangible outcome or result.

Ineligibility

Generally Discretionary Grants are not awarded to:Any organization not exempt under IRS 501(c)3 guidelines.
Ongoing operating expenses of existing institutions.
Individuals.
Religious organizations for religious purposes.
Endowments.
Scholarships and scholarly or medical research.
Annual fund-raising drives.
Community services which are primarily supported by tax dollars.
Travel grants.
