Vitalant MLS Scholarship

Purpose: Provides tuition assistance to students pursuing a career in Immunohematology (blood banking) or blood donation.

Geographic Scope: United States (institution must have active affiliation agreement with Vitalant)

Focus Areas:

• Immunohematology (blood banking)
• Blood donation careers

Eligibility Requirements

• Must be enrolled in an accredited Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) program
• Educational institution requirement: Must have an active affiliation agreement with Vitalant
• Must demonstrate an interest in Immunohematology (blood banking)
• Complete the Scholarship Application Form

Recipient Commitments

• Recipients agree to work for Vitalant Reference Laboratory for 36 months (3 years) post-graduation
• Scholarships are non-transferable

Review Process

• Applications reviewed by the Vitalant Scholarship Committee
• Applicants receive acknowledgement of receipt
• Award notifications sent within published timeline
