Program Background

Named in memory of Victor H. Simon (Beta Lambda/Akron 1935), an engineering major who founded Pioneer Service Engineering Consultants in Chicago, specializing in power generation. His firm was later sold to the Fluor Corporation. Brother Simon became an industry leader in power generation consulting and designated a portion of his estate as a planned gift to the Foundation Chapter to provide this endowed scholarship fund for engineering majors within Theta Chi.
