Named in memory of Victor H. Simon (Beta Lambda/Akron 1935), an engineering major who founded Pioneer Service Engineering Consultants in Chicago, specializing in power generation. His firm was later sold to the Fluor Corporation. During his career, Brother Simon became an industry leader in power generation consulting. He designated a portion of his estate as a planned gift to create this endowed scholarship fund for engineering majors within Theta Chi.
Selection: Recipients are selected by a committee of the Foundation Chapter.
