Scholarships Grand Haven Area Community Foundation scholarships are awarded competitively based on criteria set by donors. These criteria could include financial need, the school the applicant is attending, academic achievement, as well as personal or career goals. The Community Foundation has a rigorous internal selection process for each scholarship decision, and each applicant is reviewed in depth, and considered thoroughly. Our scholarship program is simple. You are able to apply once for all foundation scholarships you may be eligible for. Once your application is submitted, you will be eligible for all those for which you meet the requirement. VFW Post 2326 Ward-Goff Memorial Scholarship Fund Mr. & Mrs. Elgin Ward and Mr. & Mrs. Richard Goff gave a donation to the VFW Post 2326 to memorialize their sons, Roger Ward and Larry Goff, who lost their lives in the line of duty during the Vietnam War. In 1970, the Sgt. Alvin Jonker VFW Post 2326 and Auxiliaries created the Ward-Goff Scholarship Fund with this money. This scholarship fund was created to provide inancial assistance to outstanding young men and women who are the children or grandchildren of active military personnel, honorably discharged military veterans of any branch of the US Military - whether or not their services involved a war, and members of the VFW Post 2326 Ladies' and Men's Auxiliaries.Eligibility
