Emergency relief fund established to provide immediate financial assistance to low-income families and seniors affected by devastating flooding in Ventura County.
Geographic Scope: Ventura County, California (specifically Port Hueneme, Oxnard, and Ventura municipalities)
Disaster Event: Historic flooding on December 21, 2023
- Over 400 homes severely damaged
- Water levels exceeded 18 inches in many homes
- 422 homes and 644 vehicles damaged
- Unprecedented rainfall of over 3 inches in less than one hour from supercell thunderstorm
