UWYC Scholarship for Veterans
Geographic Scope: Yavapai County, Arizona
Background: This scholarship honors the legacy of Mr. Daniel H. Roberts, an honored Veteran of World War 2 and survivor of 3.5 years as a Prisoner of War. The Japanese captured Mr. Roberts, holding him in prison camps in the Philippines and China. Because of his enormous service and sacrifice to our country, United Way of Yavapai County established this annual Veteran Scholarship fund in March 2020.
