University Scholarship Fund

Overview: Hope Alive! created this fund to support exceptional students in pursuing bachelor's degrees in Uganda after completing their associate's degree through the organization's standard sponsorship program.

Background: Over 20 years, more than 200 Hope Alive! students have earned the Ugandan equivalent to an associate's degree. Each year, a few students stand out for their academic ability, drive, and passion to continue their education. While Hope Alive! commits to funding associate's degrees through $48 monthly sponsorships, bachelor's degrees require additional support that individual sponsors often cannot afford.

Geographic Scope: Uganda

Award Amount: Approximately $6,000 per student, covering tuition, fees, living expenses, and supplies for a bachelor's degree program.

Focus Areas:

How It Works: The fund pools smaller contributions from supporters to send carefully selected outstanding students to university. In addition to tuition support, recipients may receive laptops to aid in academic work.
