Geographic Scope: Ukraine

Focus Areas:

• Upholding rule of law and fundamental human rights
• Facilitating access to services during the war
• Supporting independent journalism and countering Russian propaganda
• Supporting urgent, basic operational needs for Ukrainian civil society organizations (CSOs) and their staff

Award Details:

• Number of Awards: 4-8 grants issued
• Award Range: $6,000 - $15,000 per award
• Project Duration: 4-9 months from disbursement
• Distribution: Rolling basis

Eligibility:

• Ukrainian civil society organizations (CSOs)
• Independent media outlets
• Organizations focused on rule of law and human rights

Additional Support:

• Targeted capacity building offered to all grantees

Background:
Established in summer 2022 in response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine. DT Institute invested more funds than the initial $50,000 commitment given the demand to support organizations on the ground.
