NOTE: The Ueberroth Family Foundation requires a Letter of Inquiry for any organization that hasn’t received funding in the last year. Our History Founded in 1984, the Peter and Ginny Ueberroth Family Foundation has been dedicated to giving back to the community for nearly four decades. Our mission is to support community-based organizations in Orange County, CA that are making a meaningful difference. By empowering individuals to take greater responsibility for their own well-being and the communities they live in, we believe we can create a brighter, more sustainable future. The foundation focuses on supporting local organizations in the areas of youth and education programs, health, and human services. We prioritize personal involvement with the organizations we fund, which is why most of our grants are awarded within Orange County or the communities where our directors reside. As a family, we feel incredibly grateful for our successes, and it is a privilege to help create opportunities for others who are working toward a better future for themselves and their families. Most of our funding focuses on Orange County or regions where our Directors reside. This localized approach allows us to strategically invest in nonprofit agencies, leaders, and programs that make a meaningful impact. Learn more about the types of organizations we support: Youth & Education: Empowering the Next Generation: The innovative educational programs supported by the Ueberroth Family Foundation connect students of all ages to the knowledge and resources that will allow them to succeed. The after-school, extracurricular and counseling programs awarded grants by the Ueberroth Family Foundation, empower Orange County youth with the encouragement, skills and confidence to follow their dreams.Human Services: Fueling Lasting Change:The notion behind the traditional Chinese proverb, “Give a man a fish, he eats for a day; Teach a man to fish, he eats for a lifetime,” has guided the efforts of the Ueberroth Family Foundation since its inception. The human services organizations it has selected for grants reflect this ideal, equipping clients with tools to reach self-sufficiency in addition to basic necessities like food and shelter.Health: Support that Changes Lives for the Better:The Ueberroth Family Foundation’s health-focused granting supports care within all stages of life, from prenatal to senior. “It funds programs that increase access to health care for underserved children and their families as well as treatment and preventative care for the vulnerable in our community. It also funds dynamic programs that connect patients and families with treatments, counseling and support services.
