Tutor Training Materials Grant

The Florida Adult and Family Literacy Resource Center, a program of the Florida Literacy Coalition, offers materials grants to community adult basic education and literacy organizations in Florida to acquire tutor resource and training materials for tutor training workshops. Student workbooks and materials are not included.

Programs may order tutor materials valued at up to $30 per tutor, with a maximum of $500 per workshop, and are asked to limit requests to three workshops per year. The Florida Literacy Coalition places the order, pays for the materials and ships them directly to the organization.

Complete the Tutor Training/Materials Request Form and upload a copy of your workshop flyer at least 10 working days before the workshop. FLC will contact you by email about the status of your request. Once approved, you provide a detailed list of materials with purchase amounts, contact information for up to two vendors or publishers, and your shipping address.

The session is added to the State Literacy Resource Center calendar, and you are asked to accommodate attendees from outside your organization when space allows. After the workshop, send FLC a copy of the sign-in sheet, the training agenda, a summary of workshop evaluations, and a copy of handouts or a list of materials provided.
